Lent: Day 6

Tuesday evening I spent time with our Bear Cub Scouts talking about “God and Me” as they are doing the final steps of this program.  It was fun to hear their explanations of faith, and we had a great conversation.  I am so proud of the work they are doing, and give thanks for these parents who are working with them to take this next step in their faith journey.  I see God at work in their lives and it makes me excited and proud to be their pastor!

One of the things I learned was a new acronym for prayer.  I’ve heard of “ACTS” before (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication), but those are big words for kids, and also are tough words for many adults!  Their curriculum uses “PATH” to give more child-friendly language to prayer (Praise, Apology, Thanks, Help).  I like it a lot for kids and adults!  I plan to use this in the future for sure!
